I've always had a strong gravitation towards robots. I probably liked that inanimate toy robot a little bit more than any other kid. Of course, families move and toys get lost.

Fast forward into high school, where I got my first taste of robotics. I joined the VEX robotics team (now the Robosavages: http://robosavages.com/) at Gladstone Secondary. In 2012, my team won the VEX Robotics High School World Championship in Anaheim, California (check out our final match here: http://youtu.be/r-FFI39fNjY).

I chose to study electrical engineering at UBC because I appreciate the the role played by logic, sensors, and motors in a robot. I joined Open Robotics when the VEX U team merged with Open Robotics, and I take on more technically challenging projects. I am currently leading and finishing up the emergency stop system for the V1 robot (check out our project here: http://openrobotics.ca/projects/project/?id=28) I have also secured funding for our team from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at UBC.
