The ROSEbot (Robot Operating System Educational Robot), a miniature version of our V-2 robot is near completion and is helping to give us a better understanding and glimpse into machines for assistive purposes. This is a platform for software students interested in ROS automation to apply their programming skills.
The ROSEbot shares many features with the full-size platform including:
- an omni-directional drivetrain
- torso with vertical actuation
- pan-tilt head
- LiPo battery powersystem
- 5 DOF arm with grasping mechanism and camera integration
