The ROSEbot (Robot Operating System Educational Robot), a miniature version of our V-2 robot is near completion and is helping to give us a better understanding and glimpse into machines for assistive purposes. This is a platform for software students interested in ROS automation to apply their programming skills.

The ROSEbot shares many features with the full-size platform including:
  • an omni-directional drivetrain
  • torso with vertical actuation
  • pan-tilt head
  • LiPo battery powersystem
  • 5 DOF arm with grasping mechanism and camera integration
